IT'S A GAS, GAS, GAS; Fuel prices rise to the occasion

The 20-cent increase of gas prices in Boise since December may be stabilizing according to price analyses on www.boisegasprices.com but some analysts foresee continued increases throughout the summer. While the average price per gallon of gas across the USA has risen four cents in the last week, Boise, in contrast, has decreased two cents. The reason for prices increasing across the nation? Throughout the 1990s crude oil averaged about $15 a barrel with a low of $10 per barrel in early 1999. In the last two years, however, crude oil prices have been on a steady increase since March, 2003 when it hit record price levels.
